Cybersecurity: Avio Joins the EU Space ISAC

Avio has officially joined EU Space ISAC, the European network that brings together public and private actors – including academic institutions – engaged in analysing and sharing information on security in the space sector. Its operational debut took place on 18 September 2025, with participation in Working Group 1.
The aim of EU Space ISAC is to build a resilient European community capable of addressing the challenges posed by emerging technologies, such as quantum technology. In particular, traditional encryption methods could prove vulnerable to new types of attacks, in which signals can be intercepted or manipulated during transmission. Quantum communication therefore represents a more secure alternative for the exchange of encryption keys.
In this context, Avio’s entry into the EU Space ISAC takes on strategic value: it allows for faster identification of the origin of any cyber-attacks, coordination of joint actions with European partners and, above all, mitigation of the impact of incidents by reducing recovery times.
By supporting the development of the EU Space ISAC, Avio is contributing to the creation of a more secure and resilient European ecosystem, ready to face the challenges of the future with vision and responsibility.
