Cookies are short fragments of text (letters and/or numbers) that enable the Web server to memorize about the client (the browser) information to be reused in the course of the same visit to the site (session cookies) or thereafter, even days later (persistent cookies). The cookies are memorized, on the basis of the user’s preferences, by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone). Similar technologies, such as web beacons, transparent GIFs and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, are usable to collect information on the user’s behaviour and on the use of the services. Below in this document we will make reference to cookies and all the similar technologies using simply the term “cookie”.
TYPES OF COOKIES
Visitors to a website may receive cookies both from the visited site (“proprietary”) and from sites managed by other organizations (“third parties”). A notable example is represented by the presence of the “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+ and LinkedIn. These are parts of the visited page generated directly by the aforesaid sites and integrated into the page of the host site. The most common use of social plugins is aimed at sharing content on social networks. The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies from and to all the sites managed by third parties. Management of information collected by “third parties” is outlined in by the related information, to which the user is invited to refer. To ensure greater transparency and convenience, we report below the web addresses of the various information notices and of the ways to manage cookies.

The site Avio.com also includes some components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis serviced provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). This also involves third party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies). Google Analytics uses the cookies for the anonymous collection and analysis of the information on the behaviour of Avio.com users (including the user’s IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it for the purpose of preparing reports for the operators of Avio.com regarding the activities on the websites themselves. This site does not use (and does not permit third parties to use) the Google analysis tool to monitor or collect personal identification information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data possessed by Google, or seek to connect an IP address with the identity of a user. Google may also communicate this information to third parties where this is required by law or where such third parties handle the aforesaid information on Google’s behalf. For further information, see the link indicated hereafter: https://www.google.it/policies/privacy/partners/. The user may disable selectively the action of Google Analytics by installing on his browser the opt-out component provided by Google. To disable the action of Google Analytics, click on the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command is given. Other cookies “survive” the closing of the browser and are available also on subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are called “persistent” or “stored” cookies and their duration is fixed by the server at the moment of their creation. In some cases a time limit is set, in other cases the duration is unlimited. Avio.com does not make use of persistent cookies. However, visitors browsing the pages of the website Avio.com may interact with sites managed by third parties that can create or modify permanent and profiling cookies.
The user may decide whether to accept cookies or not by using the settings of his browser. Note: total or partial disablement of technical cookies may compromise the use of the functionalities of the site reserved to registered users. On the contrary, the usability of the public content is possible also disabling cookies completely. Disabling “third-party” cookies does not impact on browsability in any way. The setting may be defined in a specific way for the various web sites and applications. In addition, the best browsers make it possible to define different settings for “proprietary” and “third party” cookies.
