ARIANE 6 FLIGHT VA266 SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHES TWO GALILEO SATELLITES

Colleferro (Rome) 17 December 2025 - Ariane 6 has successfully delivered into orbit a pair of satellites of the European Galileo navigation and positioning program. With this launch, a total of 34 satellites have been placed in orbit to date.
The launch vehicle featured two P120C solid rocket motors (SRMs) developed by Europropulsion, a joint venture between Avio and ArianeGroup, which performed flawlessly throughout their approximately 134-second burn. Furthermore, Avio is responsible for the production of the liquid oxygen (LOX) turbopump for the main stage's Vulcain 2.1 engine.
