“We congratulate Arianespace on this extraordinary commercial achievement” stated Giulio Ranzo, Chief Executive Officer of Avio, following Arianespace signature of the first launch contract for the next-generation Ariane 6 rocket that will orbit four new satellites of the European satellite navigation system Galileo between the end of 2020 and mid-2021.

“The sale of 2 Ariane 62 launches for the transportation of 4 satellites of the European Galileo constellation adds up to the sale of 2 Vega C missions occurred last June, two years ahead of the completion of the development activities. This success confirms the trust of the satellite operators towards the reliability and the precision of the new Ariane 6 and Vega C launchers that will be both equipped by the new P120 motor under development by Avio at the industrial facilities in Colleferro (Rome)”.
